“Center Point: Strength and Renewal” Film Screening

A documentary honoring Center Point’s firefighters and first responders during last year’s Guadalupe River flood will get a one-time public screening at the Cailloux Theatre on July 12 at 3 p.m., timed to land just before the disaster’s first anniversary.

“Center Point: Strength and Renewal,” directed by Rusty Baker, was expanded specifically for a Kerr County audience from a shorter 16-minute film Baker produced through the University of North Texas’ MFA Documentary Production and Studies program. That original cut is being submitted to Texas film festivals; the longer version showing at the Cailloux was built for local viewers.
