Dirty Rotten Swing Band is a musical project led by Theresa Britt. Over the past several years, Britt has developed a deep passion for jazz and swing fiddling styles. She’s curated a diverse setlist that blends jazz standards with blues, Western swing, and a few original compositions. The band’s core lineup features Jim Vence, Matthew Mefford, and Britt herself. Since 2018, they’ve been performing throughout the Texas Hill Country under the Dirty Rotten Swing Band name.
Britt brings those classic jazz standards to life with powerful vocals and skillful swing fiddle. Vence drives the rhythm and delivers fiery solos on his archtop guitar, while Mefford brings high-energy grooves with his upright bass. They often add drums when the occasion calls for it. The band regularly performs at clubs and private events, bringing their unique sound to a wide range of audiences.
