A Peaceful Place of Faith, Art, and Reflection in Kerrville
Tucked into the scenic hills of Kerrville, Texas, the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden is more than just a beautiful spot — it’s a place where faith, art, and peace come together in a powerful way. Open to everyone, this 24-acre garden offers space to reflect, pray, or simply enjoy the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
A Vision Turned Into a Sanctuary
This special place started with a vision in 2001 from artist and evangelist Max Greiner, Jr., who dreamed of creating a space where people from all walks of life could experience the presence of God. After years of prayer, hard work, and generosity from donors and volunteers, the garden officially opened in 2015 — and has been welcoming people ever since. Today, visitors come from across the country and around the world to experience the peace it offers.

Walk the Path, Experience the Art
One of the garden’s most striking features is The Empty Cross, a 77-foot-tall steel sculpture that stands as a symbol of hope, resurrection, and light. As you walk the Path to Heaven, a cross-shaped walkway lined with 77 scripture tiles in multiple languages, you’re invited into a quiet space of reflection and prayer.
All around you, inspiring sculptures by Christian artists help tell the story of God’s love — not through sermons, but through beauty and creativity.

A Place of Healing and Hope
People come to the garden for different reasons — some to find comfort during hard times, others to reconnect with their faith, and many just to enjoy a peaceful walk. Over the years, countless visitors have shared stories of answered prayers, emotional healing, and even lives saved. It’s a space that gently reminds you that you’re not alone.
Come As You Are
There’s no cost to visit, no dress code, and no expectations. The garden is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a local looking for a quiet place to think, or a traveler searching for meaning or beauty, the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden offers a peaceful space to simply be.
