Known as the King of the early Western Pulp Illustrators, A.R. Mitchell was famous for his illustrations in books and magazines of the mid 20th Century. An American painter, illustrator, art teacher, historian and preservationist, he is best known for his paintings and illustrations that were often featured on the covers of the western pulp novels and magazines. In cooperation with the A.R. Mitchell Museum, this exhibition will feature many of early pulp illustrations.
