  • “Center Point: Strength and Renewal” Film Screening

    Cailloux Theater 910 Main St., Kerrville, TX, United States

    A documentary honoring Center Point's firefighters and first responders during last year's Guadalupe River flood will get a one-time public screening at the Cailloux Theatre on July 12 at 3 p.m., timed to land just before the disaster's first anniversary. "Center Point: Strength and Renewal," directed by Rusty Baker, was expanded specifically for a Kerr County audience from a shorter 16-minute film Baker produced through the University of North Texas' MFA Documentary Production and Studies program. That original cut is being submitted to Texas film festivals; the longer version showing at the Cailloux was built for local viewers.

    The Friends of the Library Bookstore is open every Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm and the second Saturday of every month from 11 am to 2 pm. Proceeds from the book sales fund things such as the Summer Reading Program, audio books, large print books, and supplies and equipment not covered by the library budget. Memberships are available at the Library or at the door on book sale days. The Friends of the Library look forward to seeing you there! Book sale with used books at $1-$3 with some exceptions.
