
Visual Arts on Display
Kerrville’s flourishing array of artists and craftsmen has been a point of pride in the community for generations, coming from the founding pioneers and artisans. This appreciation for local artistry can be found today at the local museums and public art displays throughout town. Our local museums showcase a wide range of media, celebrations of the Old West at the Museum of Western Art and expansive displays of contemporary and traditional work at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center. Visitors can also explore the art installations along Kerrville’s Public Art Trail which includes murals, sculptures, and larger-than-life art.
Kerrville Arts & Cultural Center (KACC)
Located in the heart of downtown Kerrville, KACC represents more than 600 member artists. Mediums include painting, ceramics, woodworks, jewelry, photography, sculpture and more. Tour the center and the gift shop filled with original works of art. Workshops and demonstrations. Free admission.


Museum of Western Art
The museum comprises the nation’s most distinguished living artists who follow in the traditions of Remington and Russell in celebrating the memories of the Old West. The rotating collection is sure to delight and surprise. A major western art library is maintained and teaching facilities attract top artists.
Duncan-McAshan Visual Arts Center
A 1,700 square foot gallery, four art studios, a ceramic lab and press studio comprise the Duncan-McAshan Visual Arts Center. The gallery exhibition schedule includes a full range of art in virtually all media. Exhibitions feature local as well as nationally and internationally recognized artists. Works of art are available for purchase at most of the shows, and admission to the gallery is always free. The visual arts center displays 10 exhibits annually, three of which are nationally juried shows.


“Coming King” Sculpture & Prayer Garden
The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden in Kerrville, Texas is a 24.5-acre spiritual park featuring a 77-foot-tall cross and monumental Christian sculptures. Designed for prayer and reflection, the garden includes scripture tiles, native landscaping, and peaceful walking paths. It’s free to visit and open daily, attracting visitors from around the world. The garden’s mission is to inspire faith through art and scripture.
Stonehenge II
Stonehenge II is a whimsical, near-scale replica of England’s Stonehenge, located in Ingram, Texas, just west of Kerrville in the scenic Hill Country. Created in 1989 by Al Shepperd and his neighbor Doug Hill using steel, wire‑mesh, plaster, and a few real limestone slabs, it stands at roughly 90% the width and 60% the height of the original and took about nine months to build. This replica shares the land with replicas of Easter-Island statues as well.


Rivers Edge Gallery
Exhibiting over 50 Texas artist’s, everything from traditional to contemporary. Offering orginals, limited edition prints, canvas giclees, bronzes, glass vases, gifts and the finest in custom framing. Rivers Edge Gallery is a 15,000–20,000 sq ft fine art destination located at 832 & 838 Water Street in downtown Kerrville, Texas.
